The term ‘own contribution’ typically refers to the down payment that a homebuyer makes from
their own funds when purchasing or constructing a property. It is the portion of the property’s price
that is paid upfront by the borrower for a home purchase loan or home construction loan. In simpler
terms, the portion paid by the customer during construction is also known as ‘own contribution’.
Your loan details including EMI schedule, outstanding balance, and payment history are available
under the "My Loans" section of the mobile app.
You repay the loan in Equated Monthly Instalments (EMIs) comprising principal and interest.
Repayment by way of EMI commences from the month following the month in which you take full
disbursement.
EMIs can be paid via NACH auto-debit, UPI, net banking on the app, or by visiting the branch or
authorised field executives as applicable.
Pre-EMI is the Interest paid on the Loan Amount availed in part and before the start of the actual
EMI. This generally occurs in Self Construction or Construction Stage Linked Disbursals. The EMI
doesn't get started till the loan is disbursed in full and hence interest is charged on partially
disbursed loan amount only which is Pre EMI.
Missing EMI payments may attract late payment charges, impact your credit score, and affect your
future borrowing capacity, so it is important to pay on or before the due date.
Once your loan is fully repaid, an NOC (No Objection Certificate) may be collected from the branch as
confirmation of loan closure.
